The Opportunity
The Avionics Technician/Installer applies technical knowledge of and experience with avionics systems to install, troubleshoot and maintain all wiring on aircraft, and integrations. Restores aircraft to safe, airworthy condition. This position reports directly to the Maintenance Manager and is an integral part of the Avionics team.

The Opportunity

- Install GPS, radar systems, autopilot systems, and transponder equipment.
- Perform basic soldering, harness build up and installation including wire stripping and crimping, fault isolation and repair of avionics systems malfunctions.
- Maintains records in compliance with FAA and company requirements. Also meets customer’s needs.
- Maintains premises of the shop facility in a clean and organized manner.
- Maintains equipment, tools and facilities in serviceable and working condition.
- Meets all job/Work Order deadlines, communicating to supervisor/manager when circumstances may prevent on-time completion.
- Assures proper information is shared re job timelines, shop issues, parts delays, and change orders.
- Accepts mentorship and coaching from Level III and IV technicians and maintenance managers.
- Actively participates in and documents continuous on-the-job training.
- Additional job-related duties as assigned by supervisor or management.

Required Qualifications
- Garmin integrations.
- Possesses at least 24 months of pertinent, verifiable, practical experience.
- Technician with verifiable general aviation, all-around flightline avionics experience.
- Experience with avionics system installation and avionics troubleshooting on aircraft.
- Ability to work off drawings and perform installs.
- Tech savvy with experience installing harnesses and programming.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Must be eligible for DOD clearance.
- Candidates must provide their own basic hand tools.
- Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. and be able to pass FAA regulated drug tests and a background check prior to start.
- Post-employment will be enrolled in our Safety Sensitive Drug and Alcohol Program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Current, valid A&P license with verifiable experience a plus.
- Understanding and experience within a Part 145 repair station.
- Model types preferred: Airbus EC120, AS350, (H125), EC130 (H130), EC135 (H135), BK117 (H145), Bell 429, 430, 407, 206, Leonardo 109, MD 500 series, Robinson R22, R44, R66.
- Manufacturers: Garmin, Genysis, Collins Aerospace, Dynon.
